Khalid Yasin is a director and multi-asset class portfolio strategist leading business development and client services for PFM's outsourced chief investment officer (OCIO) solution in the South region. He joined PFM in 2012, and works with institutional investors, including higher education and healthcare organization, endowments, foundations, non-profits, and public retirement plan sponsors for defined benefit pension and OPEB funds.
Prior to joining PFM, Khalid spent fifteen years at U.S. Trust, Bank of America Private Wealth Management, most recently as a vice president and portfolio manager managing $2 billion in assets for endowment clients, retirement funds and one of the world’s ten largest sovereign wealth funds. He also served on the bank’s Investment Strategies Committee, helping guide investment professionals managing over $370 billion in total assets. Other roles he held at the bank included equity research analyst and project manager, where he helped launch the bank's multi-family office business and helped uncover over $150 million in annual profitability.
Prior to joining Bank of America, Khalid had co-founded a venture capital firm in Cairo, Egypt, which helped fund new businesses including a speedboat manufacturer, an automobile assembly plant, and a five-star resort on the Red Sea.
Khalid is a board member of the Space Coast Health Foundation and also serves on its investment committee. He holds the Certified Investment Management Analyst (CIMA®) and Certified Hedge Fund Professional (CHP) designations, and is a certified Six Sigma Black Belt.
