Blake Roberts joined PFM in 2015 as a senior managing consultant based in PFM’s Austin office. Blake focuses primarily on the local government and higher education sectors, where he provides transaction management, financial planning, and credit strategies to the firm’s clients in Texas, California and New Mexico. Blake works with cities, counties, school districts, community colleges, irrigation districts, and public improvement districts (PIDs). He has advised on a wide variety of financing and credit structures including general obligation bonds, revenue bonds for water and wastewater utilities, electric utilities, airports, and community colleges, non-rated special assessment debt, conduit financings, and financings through the Texas Water Development Board. Blake also provides advisory services related to commercial paper programs and alternative bank financing strategies.
Prior to joining PFM in 2015, Blake worked in public sector banking at a major national bank and at Fitch Ratings, where he assessed the credit quality of local governments across Texas, Louisiana, New Mexico and Arizona. Blake began his public finance career covering budget and policy topics for the Texas Legislative Budget Board, which is the non-partisan budget agency of the Texas Legislature.
