John joined PFM in 2015 as part of the Quantitative Strategies Group (QSG) in the Philadelphia office. John’s area of focus includes examining strategic and operational considerations of clients and executing in-depth financial analysis of municipal issuer’s debt portfolios through means of structural optimization, refunding efficiency and complex transactional support. John also manages the day-to-day operations of the Structured Products Group (SPG).

Within the QSG, John has worked on numerous financial modeling engagements, both externally and internally. Specifically, within PFM’s thought leadership initiatives, John works closely with ratings agencies as he takes a lead role in the development and maintenance of the firms’ credit calculator suite. Through this, he has worked with a wide range of clients on credit assessments, debt capacity studies, and merger and acquisition engagements by providing strategic consulting and stand-alone rating analysis. Additionally, John provides primary support for engagements that require customizable models. John also is a key member of financial advisory teams, with direct coverage of east coast local governments, large public higher education institutions nationwide, and several other clients across the firm.
