Nicholas joined PFM in 2010 and supports PFM’s services for a variety of municipal clients in the western United States. He provides transaction management support and technical and quantitative support for an array of clients, including the City and County of San Francisco, the San Diego Housing Commission, the City of Phoenix Community & Economic Development Department, Palo Alto Unified School District, and the cities of Oakland, Menlo Park, Palo Alto, Santa Rosa, San Leandro, Fairfield, Pittsburg, Newark, Belmont, Burlingame, Modesto, South Lake Tahoe, Shasta Lake, Sonoma, and Mountain View.
His present duties include analyzing the viability of debt issuances, structuring, sizing, and pricing new money and refinancing bond issues, reviewing and assessing issuers’ debt profiles, and performing analysis of restructuring opportunities.
Nicholas has advised on the issuance of Tax Allocation Bonds for the Cities of Pittsburg, Santa Rosa, Menlo Park, Sonoma, South Lake Tahoe, Shasta Lake, and San Leandro.
