Matt Smith is a client services analyst in PFM’s Multi-Asset Class Management business. In this role, Matt assists in preparing monthly and quarterly client performance reports and fulfilling all aspects of client service needs. He works in concert with the team’s investment consultants to ensure reports are both accurate and tailored to each client’s preferences.

Matt began his career at PFM in 2018 as an analyst in the East Financial Advisory Pool. In this role, Matt provided analytical and quantitative support on a broad range of capital markets related services, including capital structure evaluation, risk analysis, debt capacity analysis, rating agency strategy, strategic planning and financial forecasting, and transaction execution. As a member of the East Financial Advisory pool, Matt supported a variety of client types ranging from Higher Education Institutions and Public Private Partnerships to State Revolving Funds and State and Local Governments.

Prior to joining PFM, Matt worked for SAP America and Eaton Corporation in corporate finance. He graduated from the University of Pittsburgh with a B.A. in Economics as well as a B.S.B.A in Finance. Matt is also a Level I candidate for the Chartered Financial Analyst program.
