John Bonow serves as PFM’s chief executive officer. In this capacity, he helps set the firm’s strategic direction and is responsible for its overall daily management. He also chairs the PFM Managing Director Executive Committee and serves on PFM’s Board of Managers.
After joining PFM in 1991 as a financial analyst, John advanced through the financial advisory business of the firm and became a managing director in 2001. In 2002, he opened PFM’s Seattle office to better serve clients in the Pacific Northwest. He has helped clients prudently raise billions of dollars for important capital projects and refinance or restructure prior debt obligations along with developing sustainable finances and strong credit profiles.
Among his other primary interests, John serves on non-profit boards and spends much of his leisure time pursuing health and joy with his family.
John earned his B.A. degree in Economics from Yale University.
