Alyssa Mehalick is a senior managing consultant in PFM’s Management and Budget Consulting team, where she specializes in strategic workforce initiatives and performance improvement for state and local governments.

Alyssa possesses extensive experience in classification and compensation analyses for public organizations. In 2015 and 2016, she managed the Fairfax County, Virginia Police Department Operational and Organizational Review. She oversaw data collection and performed analyses of compensation, operational and rank structure, and police-deputy sheriff pay parity. Within the DC Metro region, She has performed compensation and benefits analyses for both public safety and civilian classifications on behalf of Anne Arundel County (MD), Montgomery County (MD), Prince George’s County (MD), and the Maryland-National Capital Park and Planning Commission (M-NCPPC). Alyssa has also supported more than 15 collective bargaining engagements. 

Prior to joining PFM, Alyssa served as an aide to the disability policy and oversight teams at the U.S. Senate Committee on Health, Education, Labor and Pensions under Chairman Tom Harkin of Iowa and as a Legislative Correspondent to former Congressman Leonard L. Boswell of Iowa.
