[WASHINGTON, DC, Nov. 18, 2022]: PFM, the nation’s leading independent municipal advisor,1 announced today that Nathaniel “Nat” Singer has joined PFM as a Senior Director working on both financial and swap advisory engagements on a national basis. Mr. Singer, a former Chair of the Municipal Securities Rulemaking Board, brings nearly four decades of experience to PFM.
Daniel Hartman, Chief Executive Officer of PFM comments, “This is a major strategic addition for PFM. By our estimates, Nat has completed hundreds of billions in transactions nationally, for some of the largest and most complex issuers across a number of sectors and geographies. Nat will wear a dual hat with both PFM Financial Advisors LLC and PFM Swap Advisors LLC advising on both bond and derivative transactions. Nat will have a major impact for the clients and communities PFM serves.”
Mr. Singer is one of the most respected voices in the municipal industry and is frequently sought out as an expert. After spending 21 years at Bear Stearns trading and underwriting municipal bonds, Nat joined the Swap Financial Group as a Senior Managing Director in 2008. In these roles, he was responsible for the development of state-of-the-art financial products to help municipal issuers lower debt service costs and hedge interest rate risk.

Mr. Singer is a frequent speaker on topics relating to both the municipal cash market as well as the derivatives market and has authored numerous papers focusing on financing and trading opportunities in the municipal market. Mr. Singer received a B.S.E. in Civil Engineering from Princeton University.
