PFM Promotes Six to Managing Director

PFM announced today the promotion of six professionals to Managing Director. “Each of these colleagues has excelled in the areas considered vital to a successful career as a Managing Director and owner at PFM,” explains PFM CEO, John Bonow.

Marty Hammond (Princeton, New Jersey)

Marty joined PFM in 2006 after serving for seven years as a union ironworker. After spending nearly five years in analyst roles, Marty transitioned to the Princeton office team in 2011. During his first few years in Princeton, this Asset Management location significantly increased the number of clients it serves, in large part due to the new energy and dedication that Marty brought to the location’s marketing and client service efforts and his ability to connect with key prospects. Marty leads engagements for many of the office’s highest profile clients.

Kyle Jones (Harrisburg, Pennsylvania)

Kyle joined PFM in 2012 as a Senior Managing Consultant in the Portfolio Strategies Group (PSG). Today, he serves as the co‐manager of the group. He leads PSG’s efforts in the acquisition and servicing of many large PFM client relationships. Kyle helps provide many important elements of PFM’s expanding asset management practice, including training support, best practices, general investment policy language, and a strategic approach to portfolio construction and management. Additionally, Kyle initiated and built out PFM’s Investment Consultant Relations effort, working with interested parties to lead, solidify and formalize the firm’s strategy to expand its relationships with the third‐party consultant community.

Cheryl Maddox (Philadelphia, Pennsylvania)

Cheryl joined PFM as assistant general counsel and assumed the general counsel role soon thereafter.  She has worked with the majority of PFM Managing Directors on a very wide range of important matters, such as capital funding documentation, PFM Solutions LLC, the launch of a Multi-Manager Series Trust, acquisition due diligence, and the launch of various businesses and services. Cheryl manages PFM’s internal legal team as well as its engagements with outside counsel and adds a fresh perspective to the PFM partnership. She advises the firm on all matters related to litigation, contracts, board of managers’ activities, legal questions in human resources, and a host of regulatory matters.

Bjorn Reigle (Charlotte, North Carolina)

Bjorn started his career at PFM in the Pennsylvania financial advisory practice in 2004 before leaving in 2007 to join the Higher Education Group at an investment bank. He returned to PFM in 2016, joining PFM’s leading Higher Education team. Bjorn thrives off the relationships PFM has with its clients and the independence and integrity that embodies the firm’s work. He has focused on enhancing PFM’s presence in the Southeastern U.S. and as a result of his efforts, the firm’s client base has increased significantly throughout the region.

Christopher Trump (Harrisburg, Pennsylvania)

Chris started at PFM as a consultant in 2005, later leading a consultant team and supporting several major client efforts. Chris has been the interim leader of PFM Asset Management’s Client Services Group for nearly two years and has continued to advance the efforts of the group. He demonstrated that he is skilled at managing a group involving approximately 25 colleagues and various related systems. This group represents what is often the first point of contact for approximately 5,000 PFM Asset Management pool investors and for many investors in separately managed fixed income accounts.

Paulina Woo (Chandler, Arizona)

Paulina joined the firm as a consultant in May 2007. Her career success stems from her deep understanding of PFM’s services, her ability to effectively connect with people, and to build networks among clients and colleagues.  Paulina has assumed a leadership role in the Arizona market for PFM’s Asset Management services as she has helped expand the firm’s client base across the entire PFM platform within the State.  In addition to remaining the industry leader in Arizona, Paulina is focused on developing business in Hawaii and expanding the firm’s presence in healthcare on the west coast.

“We are thrilled to announce these additions to the PFM partnership,” said John Bonow, “These professionals reflect the values and vison that has allowed PFM to serve clients as a trusted advisor and asset manager,” Bonow concluded.
