Raphael Mettle is a senior analyst in the Portfolio Strategies Group. He performs macroeconomic research and quantitative analysis on fixed income sectors, analyzes and develops investment strategies for clients and prospects, and supports investment consultant engagements, reporting firm composite strategies, performances, and attributes. In addition, he helps build firm-wide ESG fixed-income capabilities and provides analytical and modeling support to PFM’s trading desk and portfolio management team.
Prior to joining PFM in 2018, Raphael received his Bachelor of Arts in International Politics and Economics from Middlebury College, where he was selected as a 2018 Middlebury College Fellow for Thought Leadership. In 2020, he was selected as a Frontier Market Scout Fellow at the Monterey Institute of International Studies, where he obtained a professional certificate in Impact Investing and Social Enterprise Management.
Raphael is a diversity and inclusion champion and volunteers as a mentor to talented students of color from underserved communities through the A Better Chance program, a nonprofit organization whose stated mission is “to increase substantially the number of well-educated young people of color who are capable of assuming positions of responsibility and leadership in American society."
Raphael is currently a Level II candidate for the Chartered Financial Analyst program.
